On May 19, 2016, the Coalition to Stop Opioid Overdose will hold its inaugural meeting and “call to action” on Capitol Hill.
Members and interested organizations are invited to participate in this important and timely event that will focus on how the entire community of health care providers, patients, families, first responders and policymakers can come together to bring about prevention, treatment and recovery policies to stop opioid overdose.
The event will kick off with a panel discussion at 10:00 AM moderated by Mehmet Oz, MD, medical news correspondent and television show host. At 10:30 AM stakeholders are invited to participate in a roundtable discussion to share their opioid overdose prevention initiatives and policy priorities.
